We made the Tokyo Edit for the shirt at the top of the wardrobe — the one you reach for when the day matters. Sourced from a mill in Japan, cut and constructed in India. The fabric is the point. The cut is quiet enough to let the cloth do the talking, considered enough to hold up over years.

The Fabric.
100% Japanese cotton, mill-woven and sourced directly from Japan. Finer than the cotton most Indian shirts are made from — tighter weave, softer hand, a subtle sheen that reads as considered rather than shiny. Substantial without being heavy. Softens with each wash. Made in small batches; when this cloth runs out, we cannot reorder the same.

The Colour.
Warm mustard — the mustard of turmeric root, of aged brass, of autumn light through a window. Never fluorescent, never novelty. Reads especially well against warmer skin tones and warmer settings. Pairs with ivory, deep brown, olive, and warm grey. The colour a considered wardrobe reaches for when it wants to be seen without shouting.

The Cut.
Regular fit through the shoulder and chest — not slim, not oversized. Long sleeves with a structured cuff. Full button placket. Classic collar cut clean, sits well open or fully buttoned. Wear it tucked into brown or navy trousers, or worn open over a fine white tee.

Fit.
True to size. Length varies by size — see the size guide for exact measurements. If you need extra length, write to support@omaystudio.in and we can add up to an inch before dispatch.

Care.
Machine wash cold, gentle cycle, inside out. Line dry in shade. Iron on medium heat. Japanese cotton rewards care — the weave holds its finish for years if you handle it well.
